“We're happy to announce our first annual holiday pot luck!
WHO CAN ATTEND? WHAT KIND OF FOOD WILL BE THERE BE?
*Everyone is welcome!* This is a celebration of our community and of course, food! So while the focus is on Filipino food, we welcome folks to try to make a Filipino dish (we can share some recipes!) or just contribute something that brings you comfort around the holidays. And if cooking makes you super nervous, you can tell us that too, and we'll put you on plate / napkin duty. Every little bit counts!
SCHEDULE (Tentative)
[OPTIONAL] 3:30PM - 4PM Drop off your food if you're attending mass.
[OPTIONAL] 4PM - 5PM Mass - this is totally optional, but we figured we'd put it out there for anyone that would like to attend the mass as a group since it'll be upstairs.
5PM - 8PM (F'real ya'll, this is rented space) Dinner and activities!
8PM - There's no official after party, but Limelight Karaoke is pretty close to St. Anthony's...
COST
Outside of collaborations, we've never charged an entrance fee for any of our BOSFilipinos events before, as we want to continue to make them as accessible as possible, so consider this our annual fundraiser to cover our event / operation costs throughout the year. Suggested donation is $5, but you can donate anything from $1 - $THESKYISTHELIMIT. If you find you're unable to make a donation, send me a note to info@bosfilipinos.com and we'll take care of you! NOTE: Eventbrite is a little bit complicated when you don't set a ticket price, so we'll send you a followup email to confirm the number of people you'll be bringing.
OTHER WAYS TO HELP
We've gotten the go ahead to have some acoustic music if anyone wants to sing / bring their instruments, so you can let us know if you're interested in music when we follow up. Also if you'd like to bring a parol, let us know that too! We've got a few folks checking in on decorations.”
