“Join Pilipino Education, Advocacy, and Resources (PEAR) to watch Call Her Ganda (translation = Call Her Beauty,) a documentary created by Filipinx folks about Filipinx folks. We are excited to bring this film to our community with FREE admission. Please join us after the screening for a conversation moderated by Kayla Paraíso with inspiring local community organizers and humans: Alexia Nunez, Flo Hernandez, and Janhavi Madabushi.
We want to encourage people to learn about these issues through this incredible story and also offer a content warning re: imperialism, military violence, trans violence. We would like to offer a special thanks to the Tuft's Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies department and the Tuft's Consortium for Studies in Race, Colonialism, and Diaspora, Tuft's LGBT Center, and Tufts Filipinx Student Union for helping make it possible for us to offer this showing free of charge.
